Ohayo! Philippine passport holders would definitely need a visa to visit the Land of the Rising Sun. This is intended to show steps on processing Japan Tourist Visa for Filipino citizen. Japan Embassy only allowed some accredited agencies to process for different types of visas. One of the accredited agencies that I have known to be hassle-free and accommodating is Reli Tours and Travel.

The following are the requirements for Tourist Visa (No Guarantor) application:

Tip #1: By No Guarantor means you will shoulder your own expenses

    • With at least 6 months validity before the travel dates
    • With at least 2 blank pages
  2. Visa Application Form which can be downloaded here
    • Should be in A4 size (210 x 297 mm)
    • Use black ink and write legibly
    • Use “NON” or “N/A” if fields are not applicable
    • On Application Date, indicate when the application will be submitted
  3. One 4.5 x 4.5 Photo
    • Strictly white background only
    • Taken within last 6 months
    • Write the applicant’s full name and date of birth at the back of the photo
    • Paste the photo into prescribed field of application
  4. Birth Certificate – Original
    • Should be PSA issued, within 1 year from date of issuance
    • Marriage Certificate – Original
    • Should be PSA issued, within 1 year from date of issuance
  5. Schedule of Stay
    • Indicate names of travelers, date, activity, and contact number
    • Template can be downloaded here

  6. Bank Certificate
    • With validity of 3 months from the date of issuance
  7. Latest Income Tax Return – Form 2316
    • Clear photocopy

Reli Tours and Travel visa (Tourist – No Guarantor) handling fee is Php 950 which by far, the cheapest fee I have known.
